  • The establishment of the R&D team and related preliminary work began in 2013. The R&D team of the company is organized and implemented by senior management, covering various aspects such as equipment development and new product design, process testing, and quality inspection. It gathers specialized talents from different majors and types of work, forming a R&D team with a complete set of categories, a reasonable structure, and young and middle-aged researchers as the backbone, full of youthful vitality. The company's chief scientist Han Bingyong, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and an authoritative expert in the field of anionic active polymerization and elastomer synthesis. We have undertaken 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects and more than 20 enterprise cooperation projects, participated in 973 projects, 10 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and 10 CNPC Sinopec projects. Received one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one second prize of the China Petroleum and Chemical Union Technology Invention Award, authorized more than ten patents, and published more than sixty papers. The company has 370 employees and 54 full-time R&D personnel, including 2 doctoral students, 4 master's students, and 30 undergraduate students. R&D personnel account for 14.59% of the total number of the company, and 37 engineering and technical personnel with bachelor's degree or intermediate professional titles, accounting for 68.52% of the total R&D personnel.


    The company has three sets of professional thermoplastic elastomer synthesis and hydrogenation equipment, several rubber refiners, vulcanizers, twin screw extruders, Hack torque rheometers, and related supporting equipment. In terms of testing instruments, the company is equipped with Fourier infrared spectrometer, nuclear magnetic resonance, DSC differential scanning calorimeter, GPC gel permeation chromatograph, liquid chromatograph and gas chromatograph. The total original value of fixed assets of various research equipment owned by the enterprise currently amounts to 18.8321 million yuan, which not only meets the needs of R&D personnel to develop new products and technologies, but also ensures the smooth development and testing of various service products in our company.

    Introduction to Process Technology Route

    The device of this project is divided into processes such as polymerization, hydrogenation, desalination, blending, coagulation, post-treatment, and solvent recovery. High activity catalysts are used for selective hydrogenation, and the process flow has the characteristics of simple process, low production energy consumption, and material consumption.


    The design of the precursor for the product obtained from the production device of this project involves using styrene and butadiene (and/or isoprene) as monomers, cyclohexane as solvent, alkyl lithium as initiator, anionic solution polymerization, and hydrogenation to obtain a thermoplastic elastomer precursor. The final product is then obtained through processes such as desalination, mixing, coagulation, and post-treatment.

    This project is divided into three phases of construction, and two phases of device construction have been completed and put into production, with a production capacity of 70000 tons/year. The first phase of the plant mainly produces high-end SBC elastomer products such as SEBS and SEP (S), mainly used for high-end elastomers, plastic modification, adhesives, lubricating oil tackifiers, and fillers for wires and cables, with an annual production capacity of 30000 tons/year; The second phase of the plant mainly produces SBS products, mainly used for rubber products, resin modifiers, adhesives, and asphalt modifiers.

    Progressiveness of process and equipment

    ·Adopting the "narrow point design method" to optimize the heat exchange network, while using efficient heat transfer equipment to strengthen heat exchange, ensuring high heat recovery rate and low consumption of cold and hot utilities.


    ·Using PRO II large-scale process simulation software, heat exchange arrangements are made for each material according to its temperature level, in order to fully utilize the heat of each material, greatly reduce heating and cooling loads, reduce the area of heat exchangers and coolers, and achieve energy-saving and consumption reducing effects.


    ·All monitoring points, regulation control, and remote control circuits (including flow ratio and cascade complex regulation circuits) within the device (including electric equipment operation and stop signals) are monitored by DCS.


    ·The ceramic thermal storage material used in RTO equipment is a patented product of LANTEC Company in the United States. This product is the best thermal storage product for RTO equipment, which is more conducive to insulation and energy conservation.


    ·The sewage treatment system adopts ultrafiltration reverse osmosis device and MBR process. The majority of the sewage from the device can be purified and reused at various water consumption points of the device. A small amount of sewage is discharged to the municipal sewage network after passing MBR treatment.
